Delaware River Keeper Network’s Maya von Rossum – also author of The Green Amendment: Securing Our Right to a Healthy Environment – talks with Charles Ellison of Reality Check about recent legal battles involving the proposed PennEast Pipeline project.  PennEast is a $1 billion, 120-mile project that would carry fracked gas from northeastern Pennsylvania through southeastern Pennsylvania and into Mercer County, New Jersey.

“All of these pipelines are carrying some form of fracked gas through our communities, like the Mariner East pipeline that goes to the Sunoco facility in [Southwest] Philadelphia along the banks of the Delaware River,” von Rossum explains. “The liquid type of the element that carry these explosive, dangerous fossil fuels that none of us want and none of us need.”
